Racquet Retreats

At Racquet Retreats, each team is composed of two players, and you'll compete with your partner for the entire event.

A unique aspect of our format is the freedom it provides for players of different skill levels to team up. For example, if you are rated 2.5 on the NTRP USTA scale and your friend is rated 4.0, you can still join forces.

On day 1, you and your partner compete in placement pools to determine your appropriate bracket that matches your combined abilities. After that, you and your partner compete for your division championship.

At Racquet Retreats, we strive to deliver the best possible experience, but we can't control the weather. We may face rain that causes delays or, in rare cases, results in a full-day cancellation. Rest assured, we always make every effort to provide ample court time for our players. Our team, along with the pros at each location, will work tirelessly to manage these situations and to add in more retreat/gathering style experiences if necessary.

The most challenging scenario is when rain washes out our Sunday matches, and there's no time to reschedule. We understand the disappointment for those eager to play, as well as those with travel plans. While we'd love to offer refunds or partial refunds, our expenses for the weekend are fixed, making it unfeasible.

We hope you understand and appreciate our efforts to deliver a great experience despite these challenges.

Defaults are an inevitable part of any event. Despite our best efforts to prevent them, injuries and unforeseen circumstances can occur. We strive to fill in for missing teams, but it can be a difficult task on short notice. If you happen to face a default, please know that we share your disappointment.

Women’s Doubles all levels or
Men’s Doubles (NTRP USTA 7.0-8.5 combined teams)

All women's teams will initially compete in a waterfall bracket. In this bracket, each team will participate in two 8-game, no-ad pro sets to gauge their competitive levels.

Following these rounds, each team will play at least two matches with regular scoring, using a tiebreaker as the third set if necessary. This format allows players to team up without worrying about NTRP ratings, ensuring they compete against teams of similar skill in the final brackets.

Men's teams will participate in a round robin style format.

In addition to the competitive matches, players will have the opportunity to enjoy the retreat aspect of the weekend, either as a team or individually. Cold plunge, sauna, chair massages and so much more!

Whether you want to relax and unwind together or explore activities on your own, Racquet Retreats offers a perfect balance of intense tennis and leisure.

At Racquet Retreats, the entry fee is set at $249 per player or $498 per doubles team, which covers the tournament and a couple of retreat-like experiences. This fee does not include accommodations, giving you the flexibility to choose your own lodging arrangements. We want you to tailor your stay to your preference and budget.
